Create an Underground Precedence

You can define precedences graphically or enter them in the Precedences data grid.

Create an Underground Precedence Graphically

  1. In the Setup Schedule > Precedences tab, select Add mode.
  2. In the 3D Canvas, click the heading or location that must be mined first.
  3. Click the heading or location that you do not want to be available for mining until after the first heading location is mined.
  4. Note: If the predecessor or successor is a heading, you can drag along the heading and release at the position at which you want the precedence to take effect.

A new row is added to the data grid and a dotted line is displayed in the 3D Canvas to represent the precedence. If the predecessor is a heading, the length value for the predecessor is the position at which you released after clicking the first heading. If the successor is a heading, the length value for the successor is the position at which you released after clicking the second heading. If the predecessor or successor is a location, the Length field is inactive.

  5. If necessary, change the Length values:
    1. For the Predecessor, to be the length along the heading that must be mined before the Successor is available for mining.
    2. For the Successor, to be the length along the heading at which mining can commence after the length has been mined in the Predecessor.
  6. If you want to add a delay between when the Predecessor is complete and when the Successor becomes available, in the Precedences data grid, type a value in the Delay column.

Create an Underground Precedence using the Precedences Data Grid

  2. In the Precedences data grid, click Insert.
  3. A new row is added to the data grid.

  4. In the Predecessor column, select the heading or location that must be completed before the Successor becomes available for mining.
  5. In the Length column, type the distance along the Predecessor that must be mined before the Successor becomes available for mining.
  6. In the Delay column, type the number of days that must pass after the Predecessor is complete before the Successor becomes available for mining.
  7. In the Successor column, select the heading or location that is not available for mining until after the Predecessor is completed.
  8. If the Successor is a heading, in the Length column, type the distance along the Successor at which mining will continue after the length has been mined from the Predecessor, or after the Predecessor is complete.
